Delete F&R switch on series cart?
How ya'll doin?
On my series cart I have a diy HD F&R switch and my cables are solder and crimp. But I feel my weakest link is the F&R and the long cable runs. Isn't there a way I can ditch the F&R all together? and pick up some performance? Thanks, Steve |

Re: Delete F&R switch on series cart?
Thanks guys! So I guess you could just have HD contactor back at the controller area then just run some smaller wires to the switch? I just feel I'm not that effecient at the current F&R. It just seel like alot of juice running through the F&R copper contacts that are spring loaded then you have those 4 long cables running to the back. If the HD contactor is back at the controller its alot less wire. I guess on a series cart the F&R is basically the cart, all the juice upgrades and performance is contolled an ran through the F&R. Yes full voltage runs through the f/r. I like the contactors. You can put the switch anywhere. I have put them on the dash

Re: Delete F&R switch on series cart?
Thanks SUNOCO,
stock is a poor design imo for the Club Car with the long cable runs, almost 8' of cable I think. Then the manual switch back and forth I would think can cause a loss full capability of the amps your trying to move. Yes it worked great for years but if your trying to get more out of a series cart HD Contactor I would think is the way to go. Are these HD contactors rated for a max amperage? Steve |

Get in touch with ScottyB and tell him you want the Allbright contactor. It's legit. I use it on all of my conversions. I hate lever switches.
