The yellow wire from the limit to solenoid is a 36v hot wire with key switch on, test that to the battery bank negative, you need 36v. Also test that diode with a meter, also test the fuse on the receptacle, then report your findings. This is an easy wiring setup, can't be much wrong so checking and being sure your check is correct is important. Any modification from factory must be detailed as to what is changed or wired, exactly.

To answer the question about the "phone box jack" (post 27 of this thread) it is a resistor (labeled snubber on this diagram). It's connected between the 2 big posts of the solenoid and it's purpose is to reduce the amount of arcing when the high amperage contacts in the solenoid make and break.
The diode is connected between the small posts of the solenoid. |
