Just be careful if you do that. That bubbling is Hydrogen and it can go off if you create a static spark. I saw it happen twice when working on electric cars back in the 70's.

that's a crock !! everyone load tests batteries and watches voltage to see if batteries are good looking for bubbles is ridiculous they will bubble good or bad |

This came from trojan batteries own website. And their "battery user guide pdf".....discharge testing is what ezgo, yamaha, garia, and our battery distributor require to qualify their batteries for warranty replacement. Yes, discharge tests do provide valid info for battery condition, or at least the people who made the batteries say it does.
