83 gas ez-go
I just bought a 83 ez-go. The the guy know nothing about he said it would not start. I got it home put a new battery in it. and did some rewireing to the key and got it to start. now when I start it revs up on its own and takes off then stops for a little and takes off again any idea what it could be would be a big help.

Sounds like the carborator and or the fuel pump need to be cleaned.
