s/g activates when put in gear

Someone else took off the old solenoid and now I tried to hook up the new one using the diagram supplied by BGW. Now with key on the s/g activates when placed in either gear, nothing in neutral. S/g stops when you push on accelerator. Appears the accelerator/starter micro switch is backwards. The orange(ground wire) is grounded with accelerator not pushed and when you step on the acelerator it opens the circuit and the s/g stops. I have moved and changed the blue and orange wires to the small solenoid connectors and the same thing happens.

Don`t care for egg nog ...but the Rum bottle is 1/2 empty

Or is that 1/2 full? Guess I`ll go get it below the half mark....

I know it's the season to be jolly and that's a good thing but I really need help with this problem. I have tested all the micro switches and all are working but the accelerator/starter switch seems to be backwards, starter is activated when placed in gear and is deactivated when the accelerator pedal is pushed. The kill/micro switch is disconnected because it won't run when connected, maybe the electrical component that's under the engine that the white/black wire is attached is bad but I'm not sure this has anything with using the gear shift to start the engine. Tks for your help

Lets start with some specifics.....what year is it ? If you don't know the year, post the serial # under the dash. I have some CC gasers and would like to help but, Id by color is not making any sense compared to what I have....so lets forget the color and go to function or destination/origin. Have you downloaded the wiring diagram for your cart yet?
