Re: Running really rough, poss spark??
Well i stripped the carb down today... It did have some muck in it but nothing bad. Cleaned it all up and re-fitted. The engine ran fine as it did yesterday but then went back to spluttering like mad once it was warm. The issue is definately only when the engine is warm. This (along with the fact i've cleaned the carb) leads me to believe the issue is with the ignition. I've pulled the plug and tried it with other plugs too, the spark is definately very weak, with the odd brighter spark every second or so. That ties in with how the engine stumbles.
I want to strip down the ignition system, so would anyone know where i can find the information needed? Will i need to remove the engine for this? Cheers, James |
