Default How do I replace a yamaha drive seat cover?

I am rebuilding my cart and I want to put some new seat covers on. My original one seems to be glued on how do you replace it? My ezgo was just staple on.

Hammer,

Dave in VA posted the following link for me in regards to a somewhat similar question.

http://www.cartpartsplus.com/yamaha-two-tone-seat-skins

There should be instructions with this link. BTW...... There are $69 single color seat cover skins here, too. Each cover describes the process (staple or entire seat/cushion replacement). Seat backs have a removable back plate hiding the staples, I believe.

Search Dave in VA. He's done this on a couple of Yamaha's.

Hope this helps.

The YDRx seats are glued, no staples. The skins are near impossible to get loose.

Yeah what CG said . Don't take the old seat cover or back off! You staple them on over the existing cushion and cover . Like the others they staple on but in to the plastic and then they make a cover now to cover the back where the staples are . I just got mine the other week . - Mayor

Where did you buy the seat back? So you stable the cover over the old one and into the plastic on the back of the seat and than put a new cover over it? Sounds like I need a heavy duty stapler what did u use? Let me know if u have pics and where u bought it I am going to try to find that video

I got it from my local Yamaha dealer . I'm sure they are available online . You will need a pneumatic stapler . They staple on right around the entire seat . I'll post pics . I actually dropped my seats off at the upholstery shop that my friend owns to put them on. I just don't have the time ( between running two businesses ) or patience for that kinda of stuff. But the video shows ya step by step what to do . I ordered my covers from Creative Seat Designs in Florida . They do all the wild stuff snake skin, ostrich ect. - Mayor

Lazy Life seat covers have been the easiest to staple on and the best quality of any cover that I have used
