yamaha drive not moving
Hey Guys, I have a 2010 Yamaha drive electric that was running great then all of the sudden it stopped. I flipped tow/run and it moved 10ft then stopped and now will not move at all. I checked the voltage at batteries at 47 volt as it hasent been charged since sat. checked voltage at solenoid 44volt and doesnt change when pedeal is depressed. checked continuity at stop switch and seems to be working, I am hoping you guys will lead me as to what to check next! thank you, Jeff.

Re: yamaha drive not moving
Redmon--- your batteries are dead! 47 volts is about 25% state of charge. 44 volts is below 0% on the charts. Charge your batteries until the charger shuts off. You should be good to go. RULE 1----never let your batteries remain in a discharged state over night. If you drive it--charge it.

Re: yamaha drive not moving
Olman, will do thanks! I just bought the cart sat and it was on charger when I picked it up, guess that explains why it ran great when I picked it up.

Re: yamaha drive not moving
I don't know how to post a link to a thread but member Smallblock450sl posted a good description on what you have to do. Look under electric Yamaha and find the thread about common problems for G29/Drives. Maybe somebody that is more computer savvy can post a link to the original thread. Yes, they wire in series. You will have to change some hold downs and some cables. Maybe a good time to upgrade to 4 ga or 2 ga cables.
