Is there a limited slip upgrade for G29 electric carts?
Is there a limited slip upgrade for 2007+ G29 electric carts (ydre yamaha drive)? I searched buggies without any luck. This cart will see street use so I don't want to weld the pinion (spider) gears.
Google search shows plowmans posi only good for 1998-2006 yamaha gas and electric. |

Re: Is there a limited slip upgrade for G29 electric carts?
Nothing for "team" axle equipped drives (newer models went back to dana). Having seen the carrier myself, i feel there will never be one available. The only way it could possibly happen is with a totally new redesigned carrier (its a complex/expensive peice compared to most).

I haven't taken one apart but looking at the exploded view in the manual it is a unique design and didn't think there was a limited slip easily possible. I had to ask the experts here though.

Doesn't look as easy as standard carrier to weld looking at the exploded views. I don't have pictures as mines never been apart.

Re: Is there a limited slip upgrade for G29 electric carts?
Sure you could, but be sure to have at least 3 of the spider gears touching when you start tacking, so you dont find out you welded the two in the carrier in a position that can never be re-assembled.

Re: Is there a limited slip upgrade for G29 electric carts?
Nope, but you can buy one from ezgo RXV electric (same axle type), and it's a direct bolt in. (Also fits yamaha YDRA with dana axle).
Rxv electric is the only one I know of with posi from the factory. |
