Default seat back foam came unlued

2004 club car. Went out to go golfing and the foam cushion that is attached to the back support had fallen off. It is glued on. I have called numerous places and they all have said that they have no idea what type of glue to use to reinstall the padding. If anyone knows of the glue used or has any ideas let me know. Thanks

I had some problems with the foam on the flip over back seat of my RXV coming loose, or more accurately the wood backing coming apart even though the foam and cover were still in very good shape, I have temporarily repaired it using Gorilla glue, which seems to adhere fairly well, although I don't know how long it will last. Just be aware that Gorilla Glue (the original dark amber / brown variety) expands considarbly as it cures and may drip.

Check out a can of spray on headliner adhesive. Not sure about application on foam but you can always look. It is at all automotive stores

Shouldn't be just "glued" on. The backrest has a wood base with the foam on top of it and the cover stretched out and usually tacked to the wood base with lots of staples. Once the wood starts to rot it's just a matter of time till the seat comes apart. I've repaired many seats with new marine grade plywood, reuse original foam and recover with original cover - stretching it tight and tacking it down with lots of staples again.
