Re: pre '94 ezgo long travel??
Nothing is made for it.... but if you can put a 600cc motor and rear end in it you can put any LT front end you can find in it too I know for sure the Strech LT won't bolt up... actually never even tried to put one on a Marathon, the spring bolt pattern is not even the same.
So you would be starting from scratch. |

Re: pre '94 ezgo long travel??
hmmmm how about if i used the solid bar up front and ran like a 2-link trailing arms setup with 2 quad front end shocks? thats would have a decent amount of travel nothing like LT but hey
idk anything about putting a 4 wheeler front end on but that involves finding a 4 wheeler... lol |

Re: pre '94 ezgo long travel??
I had a solid front axle on my monster limo when it came home. It rode and handled like crap Now I have a Jake's LT with an additional 9 inches of lift for a total of 15 inches. Rides and drives MUCH better both on and off road, especially with the air ride. While you could use a solid axle like what I had I would recommend going another route if possible. I have attached pictures of both front suspension systems. I figure with some time, skill, and research you could fabricate a mount that will accommodate a long travel system on your cart. Here is a link to the build thread if you would like to take a look at what I have built so far:

Re: pre '94 ezgo long travel??
i see what your saying, its weird though the bottom mounts look alike on the 94+ and my cart ill get some pictures when i get out to it. might have to just call people that make the LT kit. so if i just have to modify the top to fit the older mounts cant be to hard. but im kinda limmitedo n tools
if anything i would run a set up like this http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...s-50599396.jpg but replace the eliptical 'half of a leaf' thing with some heim links. |
