Question about lifting a 2001 DS
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2001 DS Regen II that I have owned for 10 years or so. We use it around our farm for spraying Roundup, running errands, etc.. I have been considering installing a lift kit with some 20" tires due to driving around edges of fields and other places sticks and things will get hung underneath or I will occasionally bottom out. Has anyone done this with a stock DS Regen? Any issues with wiring, motor, controller, anything overheating? I know there will be a loss of torque with the larger tires but I want to be sure I'm not creating some problems for myself. I'm getting conflicting info locally. Some guys say not to lift unless it is an IQ car because the wiring harness is too small. Others say it will be fine. What do you guys say? Thanks |

Re: Question about lifting a 2001 DS
You will loose torque with the lift but gain top end speed. If it is a hilly farm then you could risk burning up some components.
