Mode is factory set - so if you want something specific you need to order it that way.
It restarts automatically if interrupted.
It does not hurt to stop and start charging. That is called 'opportunity' charging.
I don't know how water resistant it really is. It has a transformer and circuit board with LEDs so I'm thinking it will be fairly allergic the the water hose just like your DPI is.
I think there is a link to the owners manual in my thread.

Can y'all tell us how water resistant it is?
Would it hurt to stop/unplug while in charge phase? Say at camp I may only have 2-3 hours for charge before i need to use the cart again.
Would my digital SOC meter also let me know when charging? Mine stays on without key so if above 53v i know the DPI is charging, 52.9-53v I know its in float mode.
How does it handle power outage once power comes back on? Is that automatic?
How easy is the mode to change? I have interstate batteries. Bob may have another brand.
From what I have been told, these are pretty well waterproofed.
In the manual, it states that as long as you unplug the AC wall power, interrupting the charge will not be an issue.
Not so sure on the other issues...

Here is the link to the owners manual, hope it helps..

I'm pretty well sold, maybe just a couple more questions.
I have a hunting partner that has a Stealth 4x4/ its a CC, and his OBC is mounted in the open front dash on passengers side. So, i was more so wandering about rain?

As stated earlier I have interstate batteries. Still doing very well for me thanks to the DPI. My question about mode is, If i change to say Trojan on the next set, does the mode have to be changed? I saw in the manual about the finishing voltage but I don't really understand if that is describing different brands of fla batteries or if you have to change the mode if you changed to say deep cycle batteries. I know not to use deep cycle.

I will have time this weekend to read the manual. Thanks guys for your help.

The Lester web site specs say IP66 and NEMA 4 enclosure

NEMA 4 Enclosures constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against access to hazardous parts; to provide a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (falling dirt and windblown dust); to provide a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water (rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water); and that will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.

IP66 Protected from total dust ingress.
Protected from high pressure water jets from any direction.

On the Lester website it states that it is IP66 and NEMA 4 rated. I copy and pasted those explanations of what IP66 and NEMA 4 are from a different site. It does not say it is submergible but I wouldn't think splashing with a hose or some rain would hurt it.

Dave "TahoeDawgZ71" at Revolution Golf Cars is a sponsor selling them.

Scottyb of Carts Unlimited I'm sure sells them but couldn't find them on his site to link here.

They're both very helpful on here. There may be others...

Bought mine from Tahoedawg, not sure if Scotty is selling them yet. Dawg gave me a good price and delivered in a timely manner. Have bought from both these guys, and would not hesitate to recommend either of them...
