Re: Graziano Transaxle noise
I was mistaken, based on what Rib said there is no adjustment. I would have figured there was some way to shim the gears to make sure they were meshing properly. Is the whine different when accelerating versus decelerating?

Re: Graziano Transaxle noise
There has been a whining in the rear end both on accelerating AND decelerating ever since those gears were put in. I can't reach the installer, so don't know what he might have done wrong. But it IS annoying compared with my friends and their "silent" carts.

Re: Graziano Transaxle noise
It's probably just an imperfection in the gear set. Since they're not factory, it's very likely that this could be the issue. I've got some stock differentials laying around the shop if you ever want to quieten it down.

Re: Graziano Transaxle noise
This thread got me motivated to pop the cover and change my gear lube
After reading everything from 30wt to gear lube to trans fluid being specified in basically the same gears I went with full synthetic gear lube 75w 140 I think, it was left over from my jet boat . I have read that in the cold weather gear lube can get to thick but I used synthetic so it's more resistant to the cold and it never gets that cold here anyway. So anyway the rear end is noticeably quieter now with the gear lube in it |
