Default E-Z-Go TXT48 Controller Programming

Is there a way to unlock "freedom" mode without using the ezgo passkey? I have a 1313-4 Curtis controller.

If you have some computer skills and a soldering iron you can make your own. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showt...ht=Programming

I managed to 'trick' a non-freedom unlocked controller with saved firmware frome one that was which was the same model, but I could only do that trick once. Every subsequent attempt results in an error. It worked once. Not sure how or why.

On Club Car IQ, assuming it's the same model and firmware you can save a speed code 4 to a Curtis 1313 w/ OEM level and write to a Speed code 3 and 'upgrade' it that way.

Does anyone with soldering skill have a means to figure out what the passkeys actually do to 'save' the 'uses'? we got a lot of ones that have 'expired' after 20 uses but have found no sign of a non-volatile memory or IC of any type when opening one up. I'd love to figure out how to reset one so it will work. They're quite expensive.
