But, will a XCT work with the factory lithium setup. I have never dealt with a factory "Elite" TXT as far as upgrades go. I do know that upgrade controllers will Not work with factory Elite RXVs. (The controller & battery pack are so integrated that a new controller wouldnt even allow the pack to turn on & off correctly)

2. Tall tires + speed gain and torque loss. Torque loss means the cart slows more on hills.

3. IN the freedom mode, the stock TXT-48 controller limits the motor to about 4400RPM. The motor RPM limit in the XCT48400-TXT48 is user adjustable anywhere up to 8000RPM and unfettered, the stock TXT-48 motor will spin up to about 5600RPM from a 48V battery pack, which is roughly 24MPH on stock height tires, so it might be a bit faster on your oversized tires.
Thank you, you're right it has 20'' tall tires...thanks for all the information...looks like i'm headed to cartsunlimited..I'll be back with an update and questions on the install if needed thanks again

I just installed a XCT400 in my 36V DCS yesterday and love it. Quick and easy install. Make sure to follow the carts unlimited instructions as the install orientation is upside down due to the size of the 200A solenoid. Also, the throttle rate is set to a soft 25% out of the box. Setting it to 100% and I can feel the front suspension fully extend when I punch it. Would probably lift it on a 48V setup.

Nice! you'll need a laptop to hook up to it and tweak it I assume...is that difficult?

Not at all. Just a full size USB cable like printers use and download the Alltrax toolkit from their site. Adjust the settings and hit "set".

I just did the 500a controller and sol. My god what a difference it made even with the stock motor. The alltrax software is a breeze to use too!

I was thinking of doing the 500A but was hesistant because I was not planning on replacing the motor...is it ok to run that controller on a stock motor? I know you can detune it but id rather just do the 400A at that point thanks

Ya you can I got mine from ScottyB. He will program it for the stock motor at like 460a and the rpm's to 6000. I did it this way just so i still have all options motor wise available to me.

Overkill is underrated.

Kscg is right, the 500A version comes with a fan and it is an option (additional cost) on the 400A, so the total price difference isn't as much as it appears.

The stock PDS motor plays well with either a 400A XCT or with a 500A XCT turned down to 80%.
