89 electric par car wont move
i'm trying to fix an 89 electric par car. when you push the pedal you can hear all the solenoids click at different speeds but it wont move in either direction. i have checked the wiring and it looks correct. thinking maybe the motor. i am getting power at the motor unless it's wired wrong on the motor. any suggestions? thanks

Re: 89 electric par car wont move
There some troubleshooting tips in the service manaul (CPC Manual Service 1989 GSE pdf). It's online and free at http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/columbia-parcars/

Re: 89 electric par car wont move
Thanks. I have been reading that and checked everything it said. I did read the schematics and seen it was wired to the motor wrong. Corrected it and it still doesn't move. I'm very stumped

Re: 89 electric par car wont move
i think i figured out the problem. tested the motor and it didnt spin. took the motor apart and it was black inside with carbon and one brush spring on a1 was melted. getting it rebuilt if he can get parts. thinking it went bad from someone wiring it bad.

Re: 89 electric par car wont move
now after looking at the motor and seeing a tag on the rear end housing. i believe it is a 1993 not a 1989 like i was told. the motor still needs to be rebuilt
