Re: '06 or '09 CC Precedent......
Since the batts are likely 3+ years old and will need replacement soon and I understand the upgrade from 12v to 8v in the 08.5 is a nonissue, I would say it comes down to the lift kit. So I think you probably already have your answer. The 08.5.

Re: '06 or '09 CC Precedent......
The Excel system definitely lacks upgrade options. That's for sure. However, if the car is truly an Excel (Serial number starts with PH) and not an IQ (Serial number starts with PQ) it's no big deal to install an IQ wire harness on the thing when you upgrade it. It shares the exact same components as the IQ car except for the controller itself. A wire harness can be installed on a Precedent in about an hour for the average mechanic. It's extremely simple and won't hurt the wallet too bad either. The IQ Wire harness is part number 103496901

If I just plan to use the cart for around the neighborhood and at the beach do you think the Excel System is actually an upgrade in itself as opposed to just the straight IQ? It appears to have some better braking, etc.

Re: '06 or '09 CC Precedent......
Excel isn't necessarily an "Upgrade" to IQ. It's just different. Increased motor braking is the only real issue you'll see. The other added feature is it's compatibility to Club Car's Visage GPS locating system, which is irrelevant to an individual owner.

Re: '06 or '09 CC Precedent......
Appreciate the feedback. I think I'm going to go with the '09 setup with Excel and call it a day. All Sports 6" lift. You suggest A-Arm?
Thanks again |

I think that's a wise decision. As for the All-Sports lift. I've got one on my personal cart. Love it. Wise decision as well.

Man, you're a wealth of information! Thank you! If you can think of anything else you think are "musts" then let me know. I'm going to be placing an order for a build within a week or so, so I want to make sure I get it right.
