Cart lost speed and won't climb
I have an 88 Club Car DS. It has a lift kit and a rear seat has been added.
Until recently it ran fine. Now it will not climb hills and I have lost speed. The batteries have been replaced and that did not solve the issue. About a year ago two solenoids were replaced and I think I it was told the #2 and master. I have tightened every wire in the cart which is the extent of my mechanical ability. Any ideas? |

Re: Cart lost speed and won't climb
New batteries have to go thru multiple charge cycles before coming up to full potential . . . assuming all else with cart is ok, wait until you have charged the batteries several (10+ cycles) and see if it improves . . . if not, then the techs here can help you diagnose your problem . . .

Re: Cart lost speed and won't climb
its also quite possible you lost your higher speed solenoids.......jack rear up and run thur paces..........listen for all 5 solenoid clicks and watch wheels to see if speed increases with every solenoid click..............................

Remember the part where I said tightening wires is the extent of my mechanical ability? However, I am willing to try and check the solenoids myself. What does "run thur (thru) paces" exactly mean. I really appreciate all the feedback! |

While rear of cart is up in air, slowly accelerate, listen for solenoid clicks and watch if wheels speed up at each click to next speed . . . |
