Friend having stop go problems!!!
A buddy at my campground is having issues with his 48 v 2005 CC DS car. When he drives it. The cart will go then stop. but lifting the acc and driving it will go for a bit and do it again. He check the volts and all batteries show 8.27 on each pack. He did this after charging a few days before. He also states that the charger will not shut off. It stays around the 5 amp mark. I know that after taking the cart out od storage. He had some serious corroding on the termials. He has since cleaned them up. All batteries are Trojan.

Re: Friend having stop go problems!!!
. . . it is not unusual for charger to sit at 5 amps for several hours while it attempts to equalize pack . . . charger will shut down when cycle completes or 16 hours, which ever comes first . . if it reaches the 16 hour mark, then there may be issue with either batteries or charger . . . let charger run thru it's cycle completely . . . also check specific gravity in battery cells to ensure no bad cell exists . . . load test batteries . . . these are all starting points to troubleshoot . . .
