How do you keep mosquitoes away?
We love to take rides almost every evening around our 35 acre property. Last summer we lucked out.....sort of.....we had a severe drought, but absolutely no mosquitoes. We've had lots of rain this year and the skeeters are showing up. We don't like to put chemicals on our skin. Two years ago I bought a mosquito net that fit around the whole cart.........but it snagged every single bug there was out there.......including the good ones.
Just curious if any of you have found something that actually works in the space in your carts, that would keep those guys away? I've tried the bracelets and they didn't work. I know there are alot of gadgets on the market...........just curious if any of them have worked for you. Don't want to give up our evening rides, and also don't want to cover our bodies completely, when its so hot out. Ideas? Thanks. |

Re: How do you keep mosquitoes away?
Thanks everyone! Sounds like I have several options.
LOL about driving faster than the skeeters. That's true....we can't stop very long to look at anything 'cause they catch up with us. But that sort of defeats our nature trips. Funny, but they love my husband, but don't bother me as much. I thought it was all the garlic I ate, but I quit eating it for awhile, and they still don't bother me as much as him. I guess he's just too sweet. haha Thanks for your suggestions! If only I could train a bat or 2 to ride with us. |
