Default 99 EZ GO 36v question

I picked up a really clean one for $1800. Everything works like new, but I'm curious - is there a cheap or free mod that I can adjust/remove to get a little more speed out of it? I know that bigger tires will do it, but I'll have to save up a little to buy the lift/rear springs and tires first.

Anything I can do? Thanks guys!!

Nothing really cheap or free, but you can upgrade to 48v with existing motor and get pretty good results.

What drive system do you have?
For '99, it is either a Series or a DCS.
If it has a Run/Tow switch on controller cover, it is a DCS.

Get a 400 amp Alltrax, 200a solenoid, 4g cables and you will have a great little cart with good torque and 20mph speed.

The only thing cheap about electric cart improvement is maintenance, clean all the cable connections and make sure the battery water levels are correct.

Is this what you're talking about (from your site)? Does this include the cables? My last question - this is all basically "plug & play" isn't it?

Ezgo DCS Carts ...... This is a big Torque producer
Pkg. #505DCS
400amp Alltrax (DCX400) 36-48v programmable
200a continuous/800a peak Solenoid in 36 or 48 volt
Suitable for all around use with stock motor and up to 22" tires
Speed increase up to 20 mph on stock tires. Reg $549 .......Sale price $510.... Now just $455

I just went back on the site and looked again (after I'd posted that question...of course).

Man, WHY do I always find myself in expensive hobbies? Bird watching is basically free, isn't it? I might look into that...

Thanks.
