Default Pds or pds 2?

What is the difference between a pds and a pds 2? How can I tell which I have?
My cart is a 2011, thanks!

Only way I know for sure is to pull the controller cover and look at the controller itself. The PDS controller has a place for a "speed chip", or personality module as ezgo calls it. Here's a picture.

If it is 36V, it is a PDS.
If it is a 48V, it is PDS-II or TCT.

Yes, unless it's been upgraded…

Granted, I should have said "If from the factory, it is 48V ....", but if it has been upgraded, is it still a PDS?
