replacing stock controller on PDS?
So I sold a 2009 PDS with a 6" lift and a back seat with 14's and 23" tires. The person that bought it says that it is going into thermal shutdown after about 10 mins of driving it. All the parts are new. Motor. Batteries. Controller. He said they drive mainly on flat ground with 2 people. Will a 300 amp alltrax help to keep it from overheating or should they go with a 400 amp alltrax

Quote:
If so, a DCX400 is about all a stock motor will handle. If it is an aftermarket motor capable of turning 23" tires, a DCX500 or larger. Also, if stock motor and the batteries are relatively new, add a seventh battery for 42V. That will up the torque by about 16.7% |
