Which motor cradle is beter

I am trying to decide,Cart Parts Plus (L) Alpha (R),

The one on the right seems to have a kinda wimpy plate for the front motor mnt. (hiem joint).

bh, what are the big square holes in the plate for on the cradle on the right?
