Re: Zeva BMS Not Working
That's really too bad. OTOH, it appears Ian is being a stand up vendor and honoring not only the warranty.....but covering the shipping cost as well.
Well, maybe this will give you time to do "other stuff" on your cart that otherwise would have been put on the back burner? Keep us posted. |

Re: Zeva BMS Not Working
So Ian at Zeva received my returned BMS a few days ago and take a look at the attachment:
It's working just fine. After a bit of email back and forth, here is what happened. When I put the first wire in the connector, I tried tightening it down and it didn't work. Turns out I slipped the wire into the upper part of the clamping piece, so the only way I could get it to snug up was to treat it like a left-handed screw. I did all the rest the same way. When you do it that way, you still get the correct voltage readings from the screws on the connector, but from the connector to the BMS, it's a no go. Boy am I a knucklehead. Ian is sending it back on Monday. Should be here in 2-3 weeks |

Re: Zeva BMS Not Working
Live and learn!! I'm glad you posted the outcome. Don't feel to bad for too long about your.....well....misdirected attaching method. (Notice I didn't call it a mistake )
Glad it will be working! Again....Kudo's to you for posting!! |

Re: Zeva BMS Not Working
After dealing with a toasty module and a broken Wiper Contact switch, I was finally able to get around and hook up the Zeva BMS today.
All I can say is everything is looking good :) Is there a way to turn off the display without powering down the BMS? |

It states: Adjusts the brightness of the LCD display in low light mode, to reduce screen glare at night. Toggle between full brightness and night brightness by swiping a finger up/down. This doesn't turn it off.....but uses less power and has less glare. |
