Swapping Older for newer
Hello All,
I have just a couple of questions. I have a 98 ds with clockwise rotation and a 96 with CC rotation. Both are lifted and I'm currently putting a Honda big block in my 98. What I want to do is transfer the 98 fe290 into my 96 model. I'm assuming that since the big block is CCR I could utilize the driven clutch from the 96 and then put the 98 fe290 with the driven clutch from the 98 in the 96 model and all should be good correct? am I overlooking anything? I get the 96 will be running in reverse when traveling forward with shorter gears but I should gain more climbing power to help with the big tires. This should also be the case with the 98. Do I actually need to swap the driven clutches due to rotation or are they able to spin either direction? |
