So we have figured out that you do need longer push rods but as of now, we only have cut to length push rods because we still have to figure out the perfect size length. It's a process but we shall have a hard answer soon.

The original guide plate is really flimsy, about like a tin can lid in thickness. Before someone asks it is .025 " including the paint on it.
Did a 20 min run in on the champion rockers on my generator along with a hot oil drain and added one of my earlier magnetic dip sticks. Really quieted down the rocker arm noise on this engine also.

Shepard is @ 6.695, I am @ 6.70 , and Aaron is @ 6.74 . That leaves us .009 different on rocker arms that have at least .100 worth of adjustment threads ? In case you didn't get my point someone may be using a head gasket from .020 to .080 or a head milled from 0 out to .150 and we have defined a push rod length to within .009 of each other. And that doesn't take into account on people running valve lash from 0 to .010. Gotta love them numbers

bought my VC 460 2 weeks to early to get the cool rockers. Would it improve my 460 if I picked a set of these up and do they work with stock pushrods. Maybe Aaron will work me a deal

Here's a close up look of the valve train. Shaft rockers looks great!

Chromoly push rods are 6.74" tip to tip. <------ inside secret.
