Forum difficulties
Just to let you know, I've been in close contact with Roady to get the issue fixed,
Here's the problem, He has to do maintenance in the middle of the night when the forum is quiet, as to not disrupt to many members posting... Unfortunately, he has to do this at home, and his internet provider can't get a signal from his dish, and he can't do much with just his phone, and he's busier then all get out at work. He's hoping to have internet at his house within a week so he can get things fixed up! So please... be patient! |

Just a quick run down on whats gotta happen. Renew VB, update to 3.8.11 so we can update PHP to at least php5.4. Once thats done we need to update mySQL to 5.7. THEN AND ONLY then we can move to a new server. THEN we can move off vb to new forum software. Its not if...I have to do this. No way around it. I just gotta take the bitchin and shut it down when doing the upgrades. I havnt been wanting to take the hit of being down....but I have no choice now. Just gotta do it and get it over with. |

Re: Forum difficulties
Sounds good. I remember the new server tests. Everybody will absolutely love the new forum and soon forget any minor inconvenience from the down time.
Good Luck |

Re: Forum difficulties
Roady, I work for a large company with thousands of users and deal with the same issues. Sometimes you just have to get the job done. We will survive an outage. Thanks for all you do.
