I have found several data fields that will "limit" another that you have changed that is under a different tab. At least that is what it appears. Will be nice once we all figure this out and have a "set" of line items to change to achieve the speed, torque and acceleration we are searching for.

You have to increase all the current limits. The controllers are very dumb compared to the Industrial Variable speed drives I normally work on. They are not hard current limits from what my testing shows. Setting a current limit at 200amps, it will not run up to 200amps and clamp. From what I have seen even if I'm drawing 150 amps, bumping the current limit from 200 to 300 will allow the controller to supply more amps. Very odd. Not sure why they programmed the current limits on a curve based on motor rpm. You only need one to protected your equipment.

To achieve max speed and torque capabilities, I had to crank the current limits to the max of 400amps throughout the rpm range. The next limit I ran into is the battery current limit. I think mine was 250amp by default. Increasing this was how I was able to achieve 37mph and almost 7200rpm on the motor.

But you will also run into issue being able to supply that current and not have voltage drop issues. Battery cable size, battery type, battery life, all effect the ability to hold the voltage without sag.
Okay, thanks for the information. Do you have any idea what those lines are on the software/programming for the Toyota Neos controller. I did figure out how to increase top speed but the torque issue is the next tackle. I don't want to guess and just try different things. You are saying to crank the limits throughout the rpm range, I'm not sure how to to do that.

Yeah sorry I do not know the Neos controller, but there are others on here that do.

You might want to find the pre 2022 controller thread and ask in there.

Anyone have a solution for changing the forward speed? Shows 43.6 and if I change it then hit DWD it stays then goes right back you 43.6…cannot get over 26

Your being limited by another parameter or your setup. What value is in 06.01.01? The older firmware would allow a max motor RPM of 7200. I think the newer is limited to 6000.

When you edit Vehicle Fwd Speed, 03.02.01, it will calculate a new value for 06.01.01. Or vise versa.

But once you hit the max for motor rpm, that's all you get. From what I have seen the difference in max speed on carts is determined by your gear ratio. The higher the gear ratio, 03.03.03, the lower your max speed will be.

With my Non-lifted cart, I have a gear ratio of 10.5. This allows a value of 60.1kph for 03.02.01 and puts 06.01.01 at 7200rpm. With adjusting current limits and battery limits, I have hit 37mph, but its sketching at that speed so I adjust them back down lower.

I have 06.02.01 at 7200 then the gear ratio is set at 14….wonder if that is the issue? My goal is 30 with more torque on some big hills we have in my campground. Im also non lifted

Check the sticker on the axle to see what ratio is in there. Is the speedometer reporting 26 or are you using a gps for verification?

Yeah they sell them with 10.5, 14 and 16:1 gear ratios. I'm not sure how they determine what gear ratio is used.
If your 06.02.01 is at 7200, unfortunately your maxed out. So around 27mph is about all your going to get.
