Default Yamaha G29 Axle Bearing Replace

Getting some clicking noises from rear-driver wheel, decided to tackle axle bearings first, as a noticed a fair amount of play. (>0.51mm, out of spec)

1. Whats the main lug nut socket size? (not the 4 to remove wheel, the 1 to remove axle.)

2. Anyone remove/replace this without a press? If so, how?

Which axle do you have? Mine doesn't have the bearings in the hub - they are on the axle shaft - and they require a press to change. (Team axle)

Your picture looks more like a front hub.

You're right- I chose the wrong photo. The bearing exists on the axle shaft. Still, the questions remain the same.

There is one bearing on the axle shaft. You need a press to change them. There is a snap ring that holds them in if you have the same axle as me. (Team with wet brake) You remove the snap ring and then pull the axle / bearings out. Then press off the old bearing and press on the new. Be careful pressing on the new bearing - push on the inner race only. If you search, you will find a Youtube Video showing it being done.

Thank you - I figured as much. I'll call around to see who has one.

Got it done, but had to grind the collars old old bearings off. Salty environments are a B%$%. Thanks for the help.

Good deal! I know about salty environments. Used to be on the South Jersey Shore. Cars used to rot out in no time.
