Default Fairplay Information Access

Our new friend at Fairplay Cars has given me access to Fairplays technical information including technical troubleshooting and wiring diagrams, as well as mechanical exploded views, etc. Of course all of this stuff is copyright protected so we will not be reprinting it here or anywhere. But I do have access to help anyone who needs assistance.
This is very nice of them to do. Anyone having a Fairplay Car question can now ask away with the assurance that we have access to the user and service manual for our answers.
This will go along way toward removing the mystery & establishing Fairplay Cars on the BGW forum.

Although I enjoyed the drama/soap opera/train wreck of the Zone carts, lack of customer service, slow delivery, tax implications etc, it's refreshing to have Mr. Fairplay step up to the plate to help the Fairplay owners. Well done!

Kind of bona fides the entire Fairplay existence now, don't it?

I'm working on a 2010 Fairplay EV Echo, it will only go about 3 mph in forward and the same in reverse. I suspect the controller is the issue but thought I'd get another opinion before I send it off to FSIP for a repair. Ant thoughts ?

Scottyb,

I have a 2008 FairPlay and want to trouble shoot the electrical system. Cart just quit running an a small incline. Reverse switch was acting up for several days and I think this might be the problem but is there a simple way to test the switch? Or could there be a problem with the controller?

This is the 48 volt regen cart, and batteries test at 48.1 volts. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Bob M

I have only worked on 1 or 2 of these so my data base is very small. The F&R toggle switch can be trouble shot with a DMM. Test for continuity usually between the center pin and the 2 outer pins as it is toggled.

Since this is a Sepex drive system, intermittent directional selection can be a fatal fault of the controller. Hopefully this will get you started and somebody with more experience with these carts will chime in ...
