I'm glad that your it seems to be running well for you, (except up hills)
but what you need to understand, is that a 1988, 8hp, KF82 flat head engine
is not one of the strongest engines, and there's only so much it can do!

As for the vibration...
My 07 shutters a bit at take off also, (mostly from the drive belt trying to "get a grip")
and with your new drive belt, you may want to give it a chance to break in a little to see if that helps!

I'm not much help, I know...

Yeah, the "Ole age" is what i attribute most things with this cart to, it just seems like it goes to "down shift" or "open the carb" idk what they do when then get more "pep" when they go up a hill this one just don't do it... I think the carb needs a good cleaning.

I'll give it a few times out and see if it smooths up any, i think the rear axle oil needs to be changed badly to. Thats my project this weekend!

Thanks for the advice!

Ill take any i can get! lol

Stop at the bottom of a hill and then try to climb it. If this produces better power than climbing the hill from rolling along speed, then you know that your rear clutch is not downshifting. This can be the cause power of hill climbing problems in some cases.

My cc had a shutter when I first got it. I cleaned both the drive and driven surfaces with some fine sand paper and cleaned with a little brake cleaner and installed a new belt and it took care of the shutter when taking off.

You would replace the shoes if the ramps were still good, usually these clutches are used (worn) beyond service limits and replacement is the best bet.

Had some Shudder with my '04--Cleaned the belt and clutch surfaces with Acetone to remove any oil/dirt glaze and it cured the problem. Suggest a light wipe of the belt rather than soaking it heavy as it will soften the belt surface.

I'm going to take some pics of the clutch area and maybe you can give me a better idea. I appologize, i just don't know what the "shoes" or "Ramps" are. I'm good with cars and stuff, but i'm not to keen on Golf Carts... just yet! But i'm learning!! wink:
