Default 08 issue

I just purchased an 08. I thought the speed was turned down and of course, i carry it to have it turned up. The guy tells me the sensor on the motor is bad. I go to replace the sensor and find where the sensor wires going back to the cart a frayed. I install the sensor and replace, repair wiring. Still no change in speed. Is there a reset, fuse, relay or anything that I am missing. I am new to the club car world, as all my others have been TXT. thanks for any help in advance.

If the sensor was bad, the cart would have run very slow. Frayed wires? not common, but I would think would be a simple fix. More than likely your cart was mis-diagnosed and you need to take it to someone that knows golf cars.

If it was a Chinese speed sensor it may have been bad right out of the box. It's a common theme with these things. How much did you pay for the sensor? A factory sensor is over 100 bucks.
