Re: Charging System Troubleshooting
I am trying to figure out my father in law's charging issue. He has an 09 precedent and a power drive 2 charger. When we plug the charger into the cart, the charger clicks on, but the meter goes backwards past the zero, then the breaker on the charger trips. I checked the obvious things, battery cables tight and clean, R/T switch in tow, key off, connections at the cart and the wall plug are good. Wall outlet checks out fine. I am stumped, but I also have Ezgo carts, I have little to no knowledge of Club Cars.

Re: Charging System Troubleshooting
I've been through all these steps and ame to the conclusion that my relay in the charger was bad.
Bought a new one and installed it. Charger still won't kick on. 50+ V on the red and blue wires so relay should be clicking. 48v+ across batteries Charger works fine if I bypass the relay Only thing strange to me is red and black going to charger is 38ishV, does that have something to do with it? Shouldn't that be the same as acrossed the batteries Or did I just happen to get a second bad relay? |
