Anyone using Mad-Ramps to load their cart?

I am new to golf carts and researching ways to haul mine 30 mins each way to go hog hunting. I do not want to fool with a trailer. I have a 2004 1500 Z71 Extended Cab with a tool box in the bed already.

These Mad-Ramps look super slick. I was surprised to see no one here has talked about using them yet. No trailer, no tailgate issues, and space between the cart and the tool box for gear. Seems like a total winner.

Any thoughts?

well thats interesting . one reason you dont see much talk about it is , most load the gc with there campier to go for the weekend. there is no towing anything else with that set up .

I think there is more terrain limitations with that set up then with a trailer. also looks like a pain to put on and off the truck. all that extra weight past the rear axle and off your steering tires. Also what do you do when some one rear ends you, even a little tap is going to wrap that thing up like a pretzel.

What seems like a pain to me is buying a trailer, storing a trailer, registering a trailer, maintaining a trailer, and paying highway toll fees on a trailer.

That’s an interesting idea. I like it for ATVs more than golf carts due to the weight. A lot of extended cab/crew cab pickups have a payload capacity under 1500# and you get a lifted cart with a back seat and the weight of those ramps your getting real close to that capacity (not including any passengers) with the center of gravity past the tailgate! But hey if it works out give it a try.

Interesting, but like someone stated above I wouldn't want to have all that weight hanging off the back of the bed. The potential energy of driving on winding roads or roads with up 'n down swells would not be fun.

If you own a Ford F-150 (15-1 you can buy and install their factory ramp kit. I ordered mine on my 2015 F-150. I winch the cart on and off and it works great. Ramps are aluminum and retract to half their extended length. This pic was taken when new....before I had my winch connection bolted to the front of the bed.

I already have a short bed, plus a tool box. That’s a non-starter for me.

That whole idea doesn't look very smart. That much weight hanging in space... No weight on the front tires of the truck. I bet the front end of the truck is sticking way up...

on a normal truck yes but not on my truck
