Default Predator 670 belt slip

Hello all, I have a 96 (I believe) club car ds with a predator 670 swap it has the 780 series clutches both drive and driven. For the life of me I can not figure out how to get ride of my belt slip I have measure time and time again and it calls for a 25” belt. With the belt installed it has 3/4-1” of deflection after breaking the belt in for 4ish hours on flat ground it will slip when pulling minor hills to the point where it will not make it to the top. I have also tried a 46” belt which did no better. I have also played with the clutch shims and alignment. Belts came from rock auto if that matters.

If you're using a 1" belt, you might have to switch to a 1 3/16" wide belt. I've heard the narrower belts will slip. That might mean changing your clutches. I think the 780 can be converted, but not sure on that.

Also the lower quality belts will slip with big blocks. I always use a Gates HD with the cogs, it has the Kevlar type material, very rigid. Gates also makes the G Force which is super high end. The rubber is made for high friction/heat and get grabby as they heat up. Same type of belt you would find in an atv/utv/sled.
