That connecting rod looks just like the one I just bought. FYI it won't fit with the low oil shutdown

Yep, none of our engines come with the oil alert. We've found in testing that when making any sort of power, they do more bad than good.

That cam is the 260 Duration / .330 Lift, with the 1.25:1 Rocker it becomes .410 lift.

With regards to bang for buck, a 420 clone with the following mods will make 20-22hp and doesnt need a billet rod:

-Timing Key
-Ported & Milled Head
-28-32mm ATV/Motocycle Carb
-Header & Free Flowing Exhaust
-HD ValveSprings

Can be done for $400 including the engine.

Thanks for reposting this!

This is IMO the best way to go for a golf cart. Beyond this it becomes unsafe without front brakes and starts to get expensive when you factor in the rod, cam, valvetrain, etc

I saw this last night, and although im in the middle of a diesel swap, im watching.
