Default long travel, need advice

I just picked up a 96 txt, needs some TLC. Im looking at getting the jakes long travel kit with 14" rims and 23" tires. The batteries are shot and so is the controller and solenoid so im going to convert to 48v. Looking for advice on electronics. just going to be joy riding, maybe a little offroad but not much. I also just ordered the reversing contactors from scotty B.

Give a yell to ScottyB at cartsu
nlimited.net , he can point you to the right setup. I have Jakes Long travel and its best money I spent for the ride quality.

I can pick up the Jakes for a little over $500 tho. I think the all sport is a little more pricey if I'm not mistaking.

The SPM is fan cooled and has open vents. The AXE is sealed and water resistant. The SPM has a USB port for easy programming, the AXE has a serial port for programming. Both are series controllers.

SPM uses USB, AXE uses serial to program. SPM is the newest technology. That's all I know. Scottyb can explain it to you.

Sportcoupe types faster. LOL
