Default Won’t crank

Working on a club car xrt 800 with FE290D-DS17 engine. When it stops on or near the compression stroke it will not crank. Otherwise It cranks fine.
Load tested and charged battery. New starter

Bad cable connections, or corrosion/damage inside the battery cables.

Also make sure the main ground wire from the Engine to the Frame is connected properly and is not frayed/damaged.

Is the starter spinning on the belt by chance? Maybe the tension of the belt is incorrect or the belt itself has been

Will double check the belt. Does this engine have compression release?

This is a fairly common issue on these carts.

Did you use an oem starter generator or aftermarket?

It could be ground connections, wiring connection (the S/G grounds to the frame right above it and commonly gets corroded) and can cause problems with this. Sometimes the starter is just old and worn out. What kind of battery do you have and what is the CCA on it?
