1981 G1 won't crank
hello All,
Any help with this issue wound be greatly appreciated. when I try to start my G1 it will not crank. I shook and hit on the right rear fender with all the electrical components and it would start. this happened several times and now it will not do anything. has anyone ever seen this and could it be one of these components shorting out? |

I had a weird thing like that happen to mine, and turned out to be the ground.

Could also be bad solenoid, those are tricky to test for the novice, tons of wiring & looks intimidating, the "smack the fender" solution says for sure a weak contact somewhere.
