Cool Newby to the world of carting looking at speed

I am a new owner to a 2003 precident 48v. What are somethings I should look for and how do you get some more speed if I decide I need it. It has a Jakes 6" lift kit and 23" off road tires. I am thinking of giving it a new paint job and I was wondering how hard it is to take the front and rear clips completly off?

Look at this thread for a start... also Precedents started in 2004 so you might have the wrong year posted. Check your serial number for the correct year.

Scuba... you are 99% correct. However... I have seen ONE 2003 Precedent. It was an experimental cart at Jones Creek golf course. Right down the road from here. It's basically in Club Car's back yard. I'm not sure how many of these they made but I guess anything is possible.
