Adding an additional muffler or resonator?
I have a 97 CC DS. Has anybody ever added an auxiliary muffler to the stock exhaust system to help quiet it down? Seems pretty loud for such a little engine.
When I was younger, it wouldn't bother me, or it could just be these darn hearing aides! |

Re: Adding an additional muffler or resonator?
I have a 93 DS FE290. I cut off 6"+/- of the tail pipe and welded a 6" long round mower muffler on mine. I did it primarily to reduce blowing of dust on the ground from the exhaust. I have not noticed any reduced performance but did make it quieter and less dust for golfers behind me :)

Re: Adding an additional muffler or resonator?
Thanks. Maybe I'll try clamping one on first, before I cut and weld.
