Club Car - Series
Hi folks.
I have a refurbished Club Car. I can’t find serial number but it is running 6 x 8 volt deep cycle batteries. Stock controller and stock motor. The selector switch is the big F-N-R with no toe switch. Batteries are new and in good condition. The cart runs great but is slow. We need to increase the speed of it. What do I need to do to get this guy moving ? Use it as a people hauler. See pics. I don’t want to go crazy - just some more speed. |

Re: Club Car - Series
its a 48 volt series cart , 13 mph is top stock speed . The cheapest way to gain speed would be to find a 36 volt series motor or send yours over to plum quick for a bandit upgrade and either one of them would keep you under $300. If you got more to spend then we can move onto new motors and controllers.
Look behind the center dash , there should be a sticker on the right hand side of the framing . |

Here is a high speed motor you can run https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...ries-48v-22mph. You can also go with the next size up, but you would need to upgrade your controller, cables and solenoid.

Re: Club Car - Series
You can run it with the stock set up and get 20mph with a strong pack. No torque though...

Re: Club Car - Series
No, no torque increase. It is not a torque motor. Designed for speed only. If you want more torque, you will need amperage, as in a controller (and then a higher torque motor.)

Re: Club Car - Series
Yup. I have ran that very same motor and his bigger brother. You do not want a a lot steep hills, but it will do fine on small ones.
