Increase Speed 2018 EZGO Express S4 48v

I am looking to purchase a 2018 express s4 48v. I noticed that it was relatively slow and batteries were in decent shape. I have read a few threads related to "freedom mode" and alternate controllers. Most of them are a few years old.

Is there any new info on ways to increase speed on this cart? I had hoped it was as simple as someone with the passkey and a programmer to tweak some settings... Help??
