Reprogram Curtis 1232SE Controllers
I have two Curtis 1232SE controllers that are running some kind of custom firmware. Can these be re-flashed to a generic version?
I don't have any fault codes in the programmer, but the one has a flashing LED that says: fault 51, OEM fault. I can get the one unit to drive the motor on the test bench, but the other simply flashes the fault 51 code. |

Re: Reprogram Curtis 1232SE Controllers
Changing controllers is a scary thing to me.
The big wires - the ones that power the motor are the easy part. It's the 35 pin connector with all the wires running around the cart that is worry-some. These are multi-purpose pins, they can be programmed for inputs, outputs, various voltage values, etc. There is a thing called VCL - Vehicle Control Language that custom code is written to manage these pins. Without having this code, and a development platform to manage it, how would you ever know what kind of cart the "new" controller is programmed for? |
