The one on Kawasaki's site will only work in 1996 and older, the one made for Club Car will only work in 1997 and newer. FE400s are some nice engines.

IAMCOOL, sorry if I made the FE400 look like crap, that was not my intention. I was trying to provide real world feedback on the performance of any engine. At 4800 I'd say that is good enough test to prove that it is tough. I have to give the FE series credit for being able to run much higher than stock and still perform like new. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

The highest I've had my 290 is the rev limiter. And that was just once, to see what it sounded like up around 3900. I have shot a [real] Honda GX340 up to its max and it sounded awful, the Kawasaki seems to stay much more composed when up in the higher RPMs. I don't think they make more power up that high because the max is advertised, and that usually falls around 34-3600 depending on the engine. So at 4800 you are getting al LOT of speed out of it but only about 11hp. My "Honda" makes its 13hp at 4000 RPMs, so I won't be able to get that very often. I'm scared to death to start the thing, much less wind it up to 4k. LOL

Ummmm, a COEXIST sign. It's original purpose was to show a (not any more) member that we all just need to get along and COEXIST. LOL.
I have a question about the FE400 you sell, can you get them in CW rotation for the newer Club Cars? Thanks. |
