Default Re: What's killing my starter solenoid?

The correct solenoid has been ordered. Thanks everyone for contributing to my learning experience. The reason I think the lawn mower solenoid worked for so long initially is because it wasn't charging. After rebuilding the starter/generator a few months back it now charges and I'm suspecting that's what's killing it. Not so much the initial amperage pull to start it but the back feed that's charging the battery.
