Probably not the solenoid but probably the controller.

Yes. The controller is still seeing power. But I would first check the solenoid circuit for a fuse or a blown switch. You did not say what you actually did to cause the spark. Reverse polarity can kill stuff.

I tested to voltage at the solenoid. Big posts were 48.5. Small posts 1. The interesting thing is the battery pack voltage is 50.2.

As you probably know, the big posts (one of them) should be same as battery pack.

Here's the test procedure for the solenoid acc to the Troubleshooting Guide. Unfortunately you can't really test your controller...

Try to explain the wrong connection you made when it sparked and maybe we can help you diagnose the possible failure. I don't have an RXV but most carts have battery positive going right to the solenoid. So if you don't read full voltage between solenoid post and battery negative, there is a break in the connection.
