Default Melix 212 wiring

We started getting further away from the Melix 212 refurb so I thought I should start new. Most of the battery cables are 4 ga, there were a few that were 6 ga that I plan to replace so all are 4 ga. I want to replace the other wiring from the board to the solinoid to the motor to the coils. Should the heavier cables that now look like a 8 or 6 ga be replaced with 4ga also, or just replace with the same ga?
